Brandon Swear

Brandon Swear is the host and creator of The Swear Word podcast, a community-driven show exploring the world of hot sauce, peppers, capsaicin, and the people behind the heat.

His journey into the spicy world began at the age of six after eating his first jalapeño, and he never looked back. A battle-tested chilihead, Brandon spent years chasing heat through local restaurant challenges before diving deeper into the global spicy food community.

Between 2014 and 2015, Brandon became actively involved in the online hot pepper space through forums and early social platforms, forming lasting friendships with growers, makers, and fellow heat seekers. This led to participation in official spicy food challenges, including brand-sponsored challenges and League of Fire events.

Through the relationships built within the capsaicin community and with encouragement from longtime friend and early producer Jeff, The Swear Word podcast was born in November 2023.

Today, Brandon continues to use the platform to educate, entertain, and spotlight the people, products, and culture that make the spicy world what it is. The journey goes on!

Jeff Gerred

Jeff Gerred is the original producer and creative force behind The Swear Word podcast. His commitment to bringing the show from idea to reality helped lay the foundation for what the podcast would become.

During the podcast’s early run, Jeff oversaw the live format for just over a year, ensuring seamless flow, real-time problem solving, and on-the-fly production that kept each episode moving smoothly. His ability to adapt in the moment played a key role in shaping the show’s early identity.

Outside of The Swear Word, Jeff is the owner of WebDX.one and Podvision.io, and the host of The Founders Club podcast, where he focuses on entrepreneurship, business growth, and digital strategy.

A chilihead in his own right, Jeff has quickly experienced how wild the spicy world can get and embraced it firsthand.
